On Tuesday, 26th of March a group of partners from the AFaktive consortium met to visit different farms and fields with agroforestry systems in the Belgian regions of Flanders and Wallonia. Goal of the excursion was to get a common impression of the systems and to select suitable sites for measurements to quantify the effects of agroforestry on the water management.
On Wednesday, 27th a bigger group had a workshop in Voeren (Belgium) to discuss and decide on the planning methods for the implementation of new, integrated “agroforestry and water management (AWM) plans”.
