Forestry Service Group (FSG) is the AFaktive partner responsible for the coordination of the technical part, such as the development of Agroforestry & Water Management plans (AWM plans) for the pilot farms in the project.
Under the coordination of FSG, six pilot sites have been selected – two in each project country (Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands).
The AFaktive team has already conducted so called ‘scoping’ sessions with all six pilot farms. In these meetings, the project team collects all the required site-specific information on behalf of all the project partners.
Furthermore, AFaktive aims to develop Regional Agroforestry & Water Management plans (R-AWM). Here, the focus is on the larger scale of an entire region. Currently, AFaktive is forming R-AWM committees with relevant stakeholders in each of the project regions. The first kick-off meetings in two regions in the Netherlands are planned. The other countries will follow.
As a group of professionals with a background in natural resource management and international development, FSG has served since 1995 as a collective consulting platform for supporting profit-and non-profit organizations in the South and North toward improved sustainability of natural resource-based commodity chains with a focus on agroforestry.
