Regional and\/or communal issues and concerns regarding agroforestry as a water management tool are seen as key elements, while the work will also involve working with policy makers to <strong>improve the legal and administrative framework<\/strong> for agroforestry systems at the national level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding <strong>recommendations for national and transnational rules and regulations<\/strong>, the project aims at close collaboration with relevant organisations and associations. <a href=\"https:\/\/euraf.net\/\"><strong>EURAF<\/strong><\/a>, in particular, will accompany the project and provide important information, especially with regard to current political developments at EU level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aspects of agricultural policy and the development of rural areas are a central theme of the Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS). The institutes\u2019 topics include amongst others sustainable land use in a changing climate, socio-economic aspects of farming as well as regional development.
