{"id":839,"date":"2025-01-08T16:05:14","date_gmt":"2025-01-08T15:05:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afaktive.stoffstrom.org\/?p=839"},"modified":"2025-01-08T16:11:24","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T15:11:24","slug":"digging-deeper-water-not-trees-remain-the-biggest-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afaktive.stoffstrom.org\/en\/2025\/01\/08\/digging-deeper-water-not-trees-remain-the-biggest-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Digging Deeper: Water, not trees, remain the biggest challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AFaktive Partner <a href=\"https:\/\/inagro.be\/eng\">Inagro <\/a>&#8211; a large institute for agriculture research in the Flanders &#8211; has launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/inagro.be\/digging-deeper-water-not-trees-remain-biggest-challenge\">series &#8220;Digging Deeper&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this format, the colleagues report on the developments and results of Inagro&#8217;s own agroforestry plot &#8211; such as for example the ones within the framework of the AFaktive project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the latest edition, they describe the obstacles that past year\u2019s weather seemed to place in the way for them and many farmers. The wet year led to numerous adjustments &#8211; such as for instance the cultivation of ryegrass as a contingency plan. This is also the zone where Inagro observes problems in practice. After the execution of the earthworks, the project partners will repeat this exercise and therefore be able to visualise the impact.
