At the end of May 2025, the AFaktive team was trained on manual soil measurements by the project partner Royal Eijkelkamp. Focus of the session were the following topics:
-Soil profile with a soil auger
-Compaction with a penetrologger
-Infiltration with the double ring infiltrometer
-Hydraulic conductivity with the SIG Permea 3
-Erosion and surface runoff with the Eijkelkamp rainfall simulator
The training was held in Belgium at the premises of the project partner Inagro. A second training session will take place Mid-June in Germany.
With this training, the AFaktive team is enabled to best carry out the research on the effects of agroforestry on the water management of the project sites.
